I'm in book 3 of thousand autumns (7s editions) & I was having a lot of fun but I am in fact at the point where I must know: when are these guys in love. when does that happen. DOES it happen?? typically I prefer a much more pervasive sense of "these guys are freaks about each other" & thus far these guys ARE freaks (complimentary) but they don't seem to be especially freaks about each other outside of the whims of fate.

#thousand autumns #mine #i would keep reading for bai rong but she's not actually in it enough #thus far the plot has been like Our Two Leads Are Just Fundamentally Different over and over #and there isn't a LOT of internal stuff #so it's been fun adventures but like I'm not sure the adventure alone is going to sustain my interest for another #lemme check #2.5 books #for the record I'm where yan wushi is going to lead them out of the caves if spiders and apes #so if the answer is “directly after the cave of apes and spiders” I will be delighted
